General Member Account Terms
  • Do not disrespect or harass other members.
  • Do not attempt to impersonate a site administrator.
  • Do not submit comments that are irrelevant to the subject.
  • Do not use private messaging or whiteboards for soliciting or any other form of spam.
  • Do not submit false or invalid suggestions or reports of any type.
  • Do not flood or post duplicate entries of any type.
  • Do not intentionally or consistently submit evidently poor content.
  • Do not re-submit content that has been deleted due to a low score or a violation of our terms.
  • Do not submit content that is identical to existing content you have previously submitted.
  • Do not use a profile picture that contains nudity or sexually explicit content, or material that violates the content guidelines.
Violation of these terms may result in suspension or deativation of your account.



Exhibition Submission Terms
  • Exhibition must not contain copyrighted material unless you have the permission to distribute it.
  • Exhibition must not violate content guidelines.
  • All exhibition details, including thumbnail, must be accurate or relevant to your submission.
  • Custom thumbnails must not contain nudity or sexually explicit content.
  • Flash exhibitions must not automatically redirect the URL or open new windows.
Violation of these terms may result in deletion of your exhibition and/or suspension or deactivation of your account.

Link Submission Terms
  • Content of link and thumbnail must not violate content guidelines.
  • All link details, including thumbnail, must be accurate or relevant to the content of your link.
  • Thumbnail must not contain nudity or sexually explicit content.
  • Link must not be a direct download.
Violation of these terms may result in deletion of your link and/or suspension or deactivation of your account.

Ad Campaign Terms
  • Content of website, ad image and banner must not violate the content guidelines.
  • All campaign details, including ad image and banner, must be accurate and relevant to your website.
  • Ad image and banner must not contain nudity or sexually explicit content.
  • Website URL must not automatically redirect to a new page.
Violation of these terms may result in deletion of your campaign and/or suspension or deactivation of your account.

Content Submission Guidelines

Depiction of the following content is prohibited:
  • Abuse or sexual exploitation of a child
  • The actual killing or torture of a human being
  • Animal abuse or bestiality
  • Instructions on making explosives or biological weapons

Copyright Infringement
If you would like to report a copyright infringement found on this site, please contact support with proof and detailed information regarding the copyright.

Registered members may also use the 'Report' feature as an alternative to e-mail.

Submissions
Score
If a submission having 20 votes or more maintains a score of less than 2.00, the exhibition will be automatically deleted.
While browsing submissions sorted by score, those with less than 20 votes will be listed after those with 20 votes or more.

Popularity
Popularity of submissions is based on the value of unique views within the last 7 days.

Anonymous Submissions
If you want to conceal your association with a submission, you may use the 'Anonymous Submission' option. Please note that your association with anonymous submissions will be concealed only to other users and not to administration. You are still held accountable for these submissions.

Wallpapers
Image exhibitions that are at least 1024 pixels wide and have a height to width ratio between 0.6875 and 0.8250 are specified as standard wallpaper-sized images.
Image exhibitions that are at least 1280 pixels wide and have a height to width ratio between 0.5375 and 0.6875 are specified as widescreen wallpaper-sized images.
Image exhibitions that are at least 480 pixels high and have a height to width ratio between 1.450 and 1.550 are specified as iPhone wallpaper-sized images.

Ad Network
The ShroomTown Ad Network is an innovative, new way to advertise your website.
The Ad Network is completely free to use and no personal information is required.

How it works
  • 1. Create an ad campaign.
    Your ad will begin to display immediately.

  • 2. Submit content to ShroomTown.
    Content currently includes exhibitions and links.

  • 3. Earn points for each visitor your content brings to ShroomTown.
    Accumulation of points increases how frequently your ad is displayed.
Targetting your traffic
ShroomTown gives you the ability to tag keywords to your site. These keywords will be used to display your ad next to relevant content on ShroomTown.
This allows us to bring visitors to your site that are more likely to be interested in what you have to offer.

Manage your campaigns
Click 'My Account' in the Member Panel at the top of the page, then select 'Manage campaigns'.
From here you can view your campaigns' statistics, make changes, or delete a campaign.

Q&A's
  • How will my ad be displayed?
    Your ad will be shown as a large graphical image (200 x 60 px) beside relevant user-submitted content on ShroomTown.
    Click here for an example. (You will see the ad in the upper right corner.)

  • How do points increase how often my ad is displayed?
    Your ad will be displayed next to relevant content on ShroomTown.
    The chances of your ad being displayed amongst other relevant ads depends on your Active Input.
    Your Active Input is simply the number of points you have received in the last 7 days.

  • Can I create more than one ad campaign?
    Yes. Your total Active Input is distributed amongst your campaigns.
    If you have multiple campaigns, the portion used by each can be adjusted by changing the priority of your campaigns.

  • Can I create a campaign for my MySpace page, YouTube channel, etc?
    Yes. You may create a campaign for any site or page that follows the Ad Campaign Terms.

Privacy Policy
A valid e-mail address is required to become a registered user on this site. Your e-mail address is used as a unique identifier and to enable us to contact you when necessary. This information will not be disclosed to any other users or third parties.

This site contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any external sites.
