The Complete Emerald Tablet
Truly, without deceit, certain, and most veritable.
That which is below corresponds to that which is above, and that which is above corresponds to that which is below, to accomplish the miracles of the one thing.
And as all things are from one, by the mediation of one, so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation.
The Sun is its father, the Moon is its mother, the Wind has carried it in its belly, its nurse is the Earth.
The father of all perfection in the whole world is here.
Its power is entire if it be converted into earth.
Separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, gently and with great ingenuity.
It ascends from the earth to the heaven, and again descends to the earth, and receives the power of the things above and the things below.
By this means you will have the glory of the whole world, and all obscurity will flee from you.
This is the strong force of all forces, for it overcomes every subtle thing and penetrates every solid thing.
In this way was the world created.
From this will come admirable adaptations, of which this is the method.
Therefore am I called Hermes Trismegistus, having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world.
